History
Renault Trucks Defense bought ACMAT on 16 May 2006 and Panhard General Defense on 25 October 2012 — the Panhard purchase was announced in July 2012 — and the group was renamed Arquus on 24 May 2018. Volvo announced in November 2016 that it intended to divest Volvo Group Government Sales, which included Renault Trucks Defense, ACMAT, Panhard Defense, Mack Defense and VGGS Oceania, cancelled the 2017 tender when the offers missed the €500–700 million it considered fair value, and completed the sale to John Cockerill Defense in July 2024. The Franco-German KNDS and the Belgian CMI Defense were the two bidders considered closely.
