The record

Chrysler offered a police package on the four-door XJ from 1989 with the 4.0-litre, Selec-Trac or Command-Trac, heavy-duty cooling, a 120-amp alternator, a certified speedometer and pursuit-rated tyres; the Michigan State Police tested it from 1991. The US Border Patrol and forces from Alaska to Vermont ran it, and it stayed in service into the 2000s.
