The global Ranger designed by Ford Australia, built from 2011 at Rayong, Silverton and other plants and from 2019 at Wayne for North America: a 3,220 mm wheelbase, the 2.2 and 3.2-litre Duratorq diesels and later the 2.0 bi-turbo and 3.0 V6, the Wildtrak and the Ranger Raptor of 2019; the second-generation T6 of 2022 underpins the Bronco and Everest.

Ford Australia’s Broadmeadows engineers designed the T6 as a world truck, launched in 2011 and built in Thailand, South Africa, Argentina and Vietnam; the 2015 facelift, the Wildtrak trim and the 2019 Ranger Raptor (2.0 bi-turbo diesel, Fox shocks, Watt’s-link rear) followed, and the 2022 second generation added the 3.0 V6 diesel and a 3.0 EcoBoost Raptor. It became Australia’s best-selling vehicle in 2023 and the Bronco of 2021 shares its architecture.
