The Duster III with an electrically driven rear axle: a 1.2-litre 48 V mild-hybrid engine of 140 hp, running on petrol or LPG, drives the front wheels through a six-speed dual-clutch gearbox, and a 23 kW motor with its own two-speed gearbox drives the rear. No propeller shaft and no low range.

Dacia announced the powertrain for the Duster and the Bigster on 4 September 2025, for order by the end of that year. System output is 154 hp and 230 Nm; two 50-litre tanks, petrol and LPG, give a WLTP range of up to 1,500 km. The rear motor works up to 140 km/h, and the modes are Auto, Eco, Snow, Mud/Sand and Lock, with hill descent control. It was the first dual-clutch automatic Dacia had offered.
