Scimitar (FV107)

Built at Coventry, the original FV107 shared the low aluminium CVR(T) hull and five road wheels per side with FV101, replacing its 76 mm gun with a 30 mm cannon. British and Belgian service are supported by the supplied photographs and history.

This procedural model reuses the Mantis hull and shared wheel/track geometry, with a different gun, mantlet, gunsight and turret fittings. It represents the plain green/black original rather than the Afghanistan bar-armour fit. No unit marks or registration are invented. Coax is represented visually; gameplay uses the shared autocannon, armour and four paired smoke salvos.

Top80.5 km/h and combat mass7800kg follow the supplied FV107 reference. Original petrol engine power141.7kW follows the190hp CVR(T) technical report. Torque178Nm is an unverified derived gameplay default. Grip.88/drag3.5/steer.85/accel1 are gameplay tuning; elevated power and mass relative to the4x4 fleet are expected for this tracked fighting vehicle.

Prepopulated Ireland is preserved but unconfirmed: it is absent from the checked FV107 operator list, while Irish Guards service does not establish Republic of Ireland operation. The queue production wording approximately3000 CVR(T) is not a verified FV107 count. Later Mk2 figures must not be mixed with this original hull.
