The British Pinzgauer: built by Automotive Technik at Guildford from 2000 and by BAE Systems from 2005 as the Pinzgauer II with the 2.5 TDI and Euro 3 compliance, for the British Army (gun tractors, ambulances, command vehicles), New Zealand, Malaysia and others; the armoured Vector of 2007 for Afghanistan was withdrawn after mine-strike losses; production ended in 2009.

The record

Automotive Technik bought the Pinzgauer rights and tooling from Steyr-Daimler-Puch in 2000 and built it at Guildford, Surrey, with British Army orders for the Light Gun tractor and Royal Marines; BAE Systems bought the company in 2005 and developed the Vector protected patrol vehicle, whose vulnerability to mines and roadside bombs in Helmand led to its withdrawal in 2009 and the end of Pinzgauer production.
