Iveco’s protected 4x4: the Light Multirole Vehicle of 2001, known in Italy as the Lince, with a modular armoured capsule, independent suspension and a 3.0-litre diesel, bought by Italy, Britain (as the Panther Command and Liaison Vehicle), Spain, Norway, Belgium, Austria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Russia and others; the LMV 2 followed in 2017.

The record

The LMV was one of the first vehicles designed from the start around mine protection for a light role and became the standard European protected patrol vehicle of the 2000s; Britain bought 401 as the Panther and Russia licence-built it as the Rys before 2014.
