The station-wagon Nissans with a low range: the Terrano (WD21) of 1986, sold as the Pathfinder in North America, on the Hardbody’s ladder frame with the VG30 V6 and the TD27 diesel, and the R50 of 1995 with a unibody-and-frame structure and a two-speed transfer case, to 2004 — after which the Pathfinder became a crossover and left the registry.

The record

The Terrano and Pathfinder were Nissan’s recreational 4x4s of the 1990s and sold heavily in North America and Europe; the Spanish-built Terrano II (also sold as the Ford Maverick of 1993–98) served the same market. The R51 of 2005 kept a low range as well, but the 2012 R52 is a crossover and is outside the registry.
