History

About 1,630 military Superbs were built in occupied Bohemia between 1941 and 1943, almost all of them rear-wheel drive. The Babeta was Škoda's own design and its last four-wheel drive of consequence for half a century; the works has been part of the Volkswagen Group since 1991.
