Nissan assembled vehicles at Clayton, Victoria from 1966; the Patrol GQ was built there from 1988 alongside its Ford Maverick twin with the 4.2 petrol and diesel sixes, until Nissan closed Australian manufacturing in October 1992 and imported the remaining Mavericks to 1994.
