The Minneapolis parts company whose Powr-Pak four-wheel-drive conversion for Chevrolet and GMC trucks was sold through the dealers from 1955 and fitted at the factory in 1957–59, before GM built its own K-series in 1960; NAPCO also converted Ford and Studebaker trucks.

History

Northwestern Auto Parts Company made four-wheel-drive kits for military and civilian trucks from the 1940s and its Powr-Pak (a Dana front axle, a divorced transfer case and hardware) is the origin of Chevrolet four-wheel drive; the company left the trade after GM went in-house and later became NAPCO Industries.
