Willys registered 'Jeep' as a trademark and sold the CJ-2A ('Civilian Jeep') from mid-1945 as an all-purpose farm vehicle, with a tailgate, a seven-slot grille and options such as a rear PTO, a governor and a belt pulley. It was replaced by the CJ-3A in 1949.
