The record

The Unlimited was designed alongside the two-door JK rather than stretched from it, with a 20.6-inch longer wheelbase, rear doors and seating for five; it came in Sport, Sahara and Rubicon trims with the 3.8-litre and later 3.6-litre V6 and a five-speed automatic. Its success made the Wrangler a mainstream family vehicle and doubled sales.
