The Rubicon kept the TJ formula on the JK and added the sway-bar disconnect; the 2013 10th Anniversary Edition brought a steel bumper and 265/70 tyres, and the 2017 Rubicon Recon a stronger Dana 44 front axle, a 1/2-inch lift and 32-inch tyres. The 2018 model year overlapped with the JL.
