Massif (2007–11)

The last Land Rover Series descendant: the Iveco Massif of 2007, built by Santana Motor at Linares as a restyled Santana PS-10 — itself descended from the licence-built Land Rover Series — with the 3.0-litre F1C diesel (150 PS HPI or 176 PS HPT), a six-speed ZF gearbox and selectable four-wheel drive; 6,692 were made in 2007 but only 1,197 in 2009 and 769 in 2010, and Iveco ended the arrangement in 2010.

The record

The Massif and its Campagnola edition of 2008 were Iveco’s attempt at a light 4x4 for European fleets and the Italian services; imported Jeep Wranglers took the Spanish market and Santana itself failed in 2011, ending the Land Rover Series line that had run at Linares since 1958.
