The record

The tropical climate and dust damaged the air-cooled engines and transmissions, and in the early 1970s every Portuguese AML-60 in Angola was refitted with a liquid-cooled General Motors four. Five were left in Angola at independence and taken into service by the Angolan factions; about 36 were redistributed after 1975.
