The record

Four-wheel drive was added to the Canter 20 and 30 series in July 1986. The Japanese Guts went from on-demand with a crawler gear to permanent all-wheel drive in October 1997; the eighth generation of 2010 gives standard cabs permanent drive without a crawler and wide cabs part-time drive on a raised frame. The FG is the standard small expedition-truck base worldwide, because 6.5 tonnes gross on a car licence in some markets buys a great deal of payload for the size.
