Deep Bronze Green

The standard British military gloss dark green of the post-war decades, and the colour most associated with early and military Land Rovers. RAF Blue

The blue-grey offered on late Series I Land Rovers, listed as 'RAF Blue' in the period Herberts paint list for the Series I and reported on 1957 models as RAF Blue/Grey to BS 381 633. Blue Piletta

The dark blue-grey in which the Belgian gendarmerie's Land Rovers were finished under the 1951 supply deal that replaced its wartime Jeeps — Bonhams describes the colour by name in its catalogue entry for a 1953 80-inch gendarmerie car. Belgian Army Olive Green

The matte olive-green of post-war Belgian Army vehicles, worn by the Minerva TT licence-built Land Rovers; Silodrome records the armoured Blindé variants as 'finished in matte army green'. Cambridge Blue (First Overland)

The light blue in which 'Cambridge' (SNX 761), the second 1955 Oxford & Cambridge Far Eastern Expedition Series I 86 Station Wagon, was painted, matching Cambridge University's pale colour against Oxford's dark blue. Oxford Blue (First Overland)

The dark blue in which 'Oxford' (SNX 891), one of the two 1955 Oxford & Cambridge Far Eastern Expedition Series I 86 Station Wagons, was painted - the darker of the two university colours, its sister car 'Cambridge' wearing light blue. Dove Grey

Pale grey with a 'pinky' cast used on Series I Land Rovers from around 1954, mainly on export vehicles and Station Wagons; listed as 'Dove Grey' in the period Herberts paint list for the Series I and one of the five period finishes on the 2016 Series I Reborn restorations. Royal Claret

The deep wine maroon of the royal review Land Rovers: the 1954 Commonwealth-tour 86″ review vehicles, the UK State Review vehicles (the 1958 88″ 'State II' survives in the British Motor Museum's Royal Collection), and the six 1958 Sydney-assembled ceremonial 88s, which REMLR records as 'painted in Royal Claret originally'.
