Land Rover Forward Control chassis numbers

Both Forward Controls use the Series IIA form — three digits, a serial and a suffix letter. The 109 of 1963–66 sits inside the IIA blocks; the 110 of 1966–72 has a block of its own. [1][2][3]

Where to find it

On the right-hand front spring hanger and the bulkhead plate, as for the 109; the chassis plate sits in the cab on Forward Controls.

How to read it

1963–72eight digits + suffix letter
Three digits for the model and market, a five-digit serial from 00001 and the suffix letter: 286–290, 300–305 = Series IIA 109 Forward Control; 325–339 = Series IIB 110 Forward Control.
