A prototype was shown at the Aldershot Exhibition in 1978 and again in 1982 with a 90 mm Cockerill gun. The Armed Forces of the Philippines ordered 150 — eight delivered as kits and the rest assembled at Subic Bay — and by 2003 the fleet was 123 personnel carriers, 17 ambulances, 9 infantry fighting vehicles with a 25 mm gun for the Presidential Security Group and one command vehicle.
