The record

The 1980 redesign lightened the Bronco and put Ford’s Twin-Traction Beam independent front axle under it, with the 4.9-litre 300 six standard for the first time since 1977 and a 210 hp high-output 351 Windsor in 1984. The Eddie Bauer edition of 1985 began the Bronco’s move upmarket. Ford Australia built a right-hand-drive Bronco at Broadmeadows from 1981 to 1987 with the 4.1-litre six and 5.8 V8.
