The first Cournil that can be called a production model, built by the arms maker Gevarm of the Gévelot group at Saint-Germain-Laval in the Loire after it bought the French rights in 1977: wheelbases of 2,040 and 2,540 mm, Saviem petrol, Indenor diesel and Saviem diesel engines, and a claimed top speed of about 107 km/h.

The record
The type codes gave the engine and wheelbase — SCE for petrol, SCD for diesel, 14 for the short chassis and 24 or 28 for the long. Right-hand drive came in 1979, the year a two-litre Renault petrol engine was added, and a British importer fitted the Perkins 4.165. The 1977 sale split the design: UMM of Portugal took the rights outside France. Gevarm sold the business to SIMI in 1980. The procedural game model represents the 2,040 mm windowed-canvas SCD14. The original Gevarm brochure supplies the axle spacing, 1,592 mm body width, 1,900 mm height and 1,350/1,275 mm front/rear track. Green and beige are illustrative utility colours; no verified factory colour chart is available. Game handling values are tuning, not historical specifications. Review refinement: upright front door shutlines and clipped rear lower corners follow the French 1978 reference; the bonnet widens towards the scuttle with rolled shoulders and a rounded leading edge.
